This one-of-a-kind vessel entitled "Plank" was hand turned on a wood lathe by the artist in Philadelphia, PA. Specifically chosen for its beauty, this Brown Mallee burl cap from Southern Australia is from the root structure of group of small trees that grow together. A member of the Eucalyptus family, Brown Mallee previously was used to harvest eucalyptus oil and is generally found in woodlands and shrublands. Burls are a deformed growth with a unique grain pattern caused by stress, and this premium exotic burl offers unmatched color and grain patterns. Sprayed with many coats of polyurethane for a protective and lustrous finish which is food safe and can be cleaned with water, this unique piece will last more than a lifetime.

"Nipple" - 2017 - Wood Sculpture on Pine Base - This unique wood sculpture is made from Manzanita, a root burl that is one of the worlds hardest woods. This piece has been hand turned by the artist into an abstract shape that resembles the human nipple. This piece stands on it's side or can sit flat, and is finished with polyurethane to a vibrant and glossy surface to bring out the most vibrant red, orange and yellow colors that can be found in wood. Measures 8" high by 8" wide and 6" thick.

"Bullet" - 2017 - Wood Sculpture on Pine Base - This unique wood sculpture is made from Manzanita, a root burl that is one of the worlds hardest woods. This piece has been hand turned by the artist and finished with polyurethane to a vibrant and glossy surface to bring out the most vibrant red, orange and yellow colors that can be found in wood. Measures 14" high by 5.5" wide.
